IMCE, N.V.
IMCE n.v. was founded in 1995 by father and son Theo Bollen and Bart Bollen. Both were experienced engineers with a fascination for technique. When they first came in touch with the already widely used impulse excitation technique, they immediately saw the potential of the technique in the characterization of materials at high temperature.
In the years that followed IMCE build several high temperature measurement systems for some of the most prominent research institutes in the world. As interest in the measurement systems grew, IMCE evolved into a small, healthy and technological focused Belgian company.
In the last years IMCE has been working more and more in industrial production factories to implement the impulse excitation technique as a quality control tool. Since every product has his own distinctive natural frequency, measuring this frequency has proven to be a useful way to separate good from bad products. Because this way of quality control is relatively unknown and has so far been implemented with good results, we expect to see a rise in activities for our company in this field.
